The 1770 Club Championships were played over the weekend of 13th & 14th July with congratulations to our Mens & Ladies Champions for 2024, Ashley Newstead and Tania Dickson! Ashley played consistently carding rounds of 76-77 finishing with 153. Tania started with a 92 finishing with a 90 on day 2 to total 182. Paul Rodi came in runner up, 3 shots behind Ashley to finish with a 156, Di Wolfe placed ladies runner up with a 189, 7 shots behind Tania. Ladies division winner went to Kina Hazell with an overall net 143 with Tania Dickson coming in runner up with a net 148. Mens A Grade winner was won by Ashley Newstead with a net 137 with Steve Black coming in runner up with a net 139. Brett Newstead won B Grade Mens with a score of net 142 with Neville Hughes coming in runner up with a net 146. C Grade Mens winner saw Chris Wilkinson win with a net 138 on a countback from John Jennings runner up. Saturday’s pin shots were won by Andrew Roessler on hole 3, Paul Rodi hole 4, Ashley Newstead hole 5 and Sam Kneen hole 6. Sunday’s pin shots went to Rohan Sheppard hole 3, Tim Anderson hole 4, John Leggatt hole 5 and Lachlan Hazell hole 6. Congratulations all players.
