There was just enough rain lately to enable Les to start striping up the fairways in preparation for the Riverbend Agnes Water 1770 Veterans Open held on Wednesday 21st October. This year, Riverbend offered a Hole-In-One prize of a brand-new Ace G2 golf cart for the first Hole-In-One on hole #5 on the day. The golf cart stayed safe with no Hole-in-One recorded, the closest shot finished 2.5 m from the hole, better luck next year players!
Lee from Riverbend Agnes Water was on site all day to watch the action and discuss what Riverbend has to offer. If you missed out on having a chat with Lee you can contact her on 1800 951 765 or 0428 923 352, by email on [email protected] or visit their website https://riverbend.com.au/agnes-water
There were some excellent scores returned in both the Mens Division 1 and 2 this year, notably Wayne Scarpella from Calliope shooting a one over par round of 69 to win the Mens Division 1 and Amoy Mallie from Gladstone shot a 75 off the stick to win the Mens Division 2. Thank you to all players, volunteers and Riverbend Over 50’s Agnes Water for your participation, assistance and sponsorship, we look forward to seeing everyone back again in 2027.
