1770 Veterans Open Wednesday 25th October 2023

Our 1770 Veterans Open will be held on Wednesday 25th October 2023.

1770 members played their home course well in 2022 taking out a majority of the prizes with Tania Dickson leading the way winning the ladies division with 39 points and Lisa Blanchard from Gladstone came in runner up with 36 points.  There was a 3 way countback in the Mens division 1 with Clive Laurenson winning with a net 70 followed by Neville Hughes second and Gary Pengelly third.  Craig Macnamara also scored a net 70 to win the Mens division 2 followed closely by Andy Castle from Boyne Island scoring a net 71 for runner up.  Les Fehlhaber has been playing brilliantly lately scoring 41 points to win the Mens division 3 and lose 3.9 shots off his handicap, Ross Graving came in runner up with 33 points.  Errol Thomson from Calliope won the Mens division 1 pin shots on holes 1 & 9, Peter De Carli the Mens division 2 pin shots on holes 2 & 4.  The Mens division 3 pin shots went to Les Fehlhaber on hole 8 and Ross Graving holed his birdie putt on hole 1 to win the pin shot on that hole!  Tania Dickson then won the ladies division pin shot on hole 5.  The longest drives were won by Errol Thomson for Mens division 1, John Jennings division 2, Les Fehlhaber division 3 and Miriam Newman won the ladies division longest drive.
